Getting your first tattoo is a milestone. It's normal to feel a mix of excitement and nerves — and we're here to make the experience as calm, comfortable, and memorable as it should be. Here's what to expect when you come to Amor Fati Tattoo Studio.

Before You Arrive

A little preparation goes a long way:

• Eat a proper meal 1–2 hours before your appointment — low blood sugar makes sessions harder
• Stay well hydrated in the days leading up to your tattoo
• Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before — it thins the blood
• Wear or bring comfortable clothing that gives easy access to the area being tattooed
• Moisturise the area daily in the week before your appointment

The Consultation

Every session begins with a conversation. Your artist will review your design, discuss placement and sizing, and make any final adjustments. Don't hesitate to ask questions — we want you to feel completely confident before we begin.

During the Session

Your artist will clean and prepare the skin, apply the stencil, and give you a moment to confirm placement in the mirror. Once you're happy, the session begins.

Pain varies by body location and individual tolerance. Most clients describe fine line work as a mild scratching sensation. If you need a break, just say so — we go at your pace.

After the Session

We'll cover your fresh tattoo with a protective wrap and walk you through aftercare instructions in detail. You'll also receive written aftercare guidelines to take home. The whole experience — from arrival to departure — should feel easy and unhurried.
